Summer period and holidays - banks largely closed!
Spain is a more classic country than the Netherlands or Belgium. For instance, banks are closed more often than we are used to, but this is quite normal in Spain.
Most importantly, in the summer period little activity at banks. By mid-July, work already ends and in August, many banks close their doors altogether. Many buyers from the Netherlands or Belgium are actually looking for a property during this period, but keep in mind that applying for a mortgage hardly possible is in August! Only from September will everything start up step by step.
