What to look out for when buying a Spanish house?

Points to consider when buying a Spanish property. Here's what to look out for.

In Spain, it unfortunately happens that there are defects in Spanish property. Therefore, be aware of this and have the property properly inspected.

For example, check whether the property has a cedula (residential permit). Other questions to ask yourself: Is the seller really the rightful owner? Are there any outstanding debts on the property? This can be found out, for example, through a recent Nota Simple. To avoid problems, we always recommend using a lawyer when buying a property in Spain.
